Nigerians pastor the biggest churches in the UK – Benny Hinn

Popular American televangelist, Reverend Benny Hinn, has stated unequivocally, that Nigerian pastors own the biggest churches in the United Kingdom.

The American preacher who was recently in the country for a crusade, expressed his joy with the latest trend of Nigerians taking the gospel to other parts of the world.

Reverend Hinn who also reserved special commendation for the likes of Pastor E A Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, among others, stated categorically that things have changed for the better in the country when compared to the way they were many years ago when he was in Nigeria.

In an interview with Vanguard, he said: “When you go to the UK, the biggest churches there are pastored by Nigerians. When you go to other parts of Europe, it’s the same thing and same thing with America.
“Some of the big churches in London today are led by Nigerians. When you go to Germany, it’s the same thing and they are intense in a good way. I love that and I think I want to move here.”

Meanwhile, a viral Facebook video is beginning to send shock waves down the spines of Prophet TB Joshua’s ardent followers and lovers after some revelations made by a former member of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The unidentified pastor revealed in the video, that the prophecies made by the man of God were information given to the disciples by the people who came for healing or miracles.

The video shared by a Facebook user simply identified as Gino Love, was compiled a former prophet under the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) ministry of Prophet TB Joshua.

This man revealed never before heard secrets about the revered Nigerian prophet, how some of his disciples were responsible for some of the prophecies which were given and how some of the supposed miracles being performed on the screen were doctored.

When I joined the disciples, I was surprised by what I met there; it was a consecration camp, but there is no power, no force as brainwash.
I was gradually brainwashed into living without eating meat, without eating fish. I was gradually introduced into humiliating people.
In fact, imagine such instances as a lady is being accused of committing fornication (which were all lies) and the lady was brought out before all the disciples naked. And pepper was grinded and mixed with water and inseted into her vagina. She almost went mad.
I was made a prophet on June 12, 1999, (on his birthday), from then, the powers infested on me increased. I became a terror to co-disciples, people ran away from me, because I would do whatever he asked me to do.
Any disciple he asked me to slap, I would slap. We were being caned with ‘koboko’ (horse tail) regularly. All our backs were filled with scars. People were being tortured, to the extent that we could not talk. We were suffering and smiling. Before the congregation, we would be smiling, but at the back, because we could not say anything, we had been brainwashed that TB Joshua is the lord that even if you offend him in this world, you will still meet him in heaven.
Prophecies were information given to him by members, information given to him by disciples. If you have been there before, you would have seen in the morning (as early as 4 or 5am), people would have gathered at the gate. Right at the gate there, we interview people, screen people, they tell us their problems and everything. Those we allow inside, these are things we tell to TB Joshua.

Celebrities, fans injured at Phyno’s record-breaking concert in Enugu

Just like South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest did at Orlando Stadium recently, Nigerian rapper Phyno filled the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria during his 2016 hometown concert on November 20.

Over 25,000 fans filled the arena to capacity to make the show become one the biggest ever music concerts in the country by an individual artiste.

Many concertgoers that bought tickets for N200 (regular) and N500 (VIP) couldn’t get in. Some had to scale over the fence to gain access into the venue, while others were stranded outside as the show went on from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Trouble began from the very beginning of the show when the country’s anthem was being recited to honour the presence of state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, who also hails from Enugu..
Spectators however didn’t want the anthem and began throwing dangerous items, including plastic tiles, at entertainers like Yaw, Funny Bone and Humblesmith who were spotted at the time of the incident.

Comedians, Yaw and Funny Bone were injured, and it took the intervention of Phyno on stage before Humblesmith could perform with his band.

Also, while M.I Abaga was performing, bouncers beat up a fan and his associates had to fight back. Everyone on stage was attacked at that moment, leading to the damage of equipment, including speakers and light. The rapper had to run off the stage when it got out of hand.

‘It felt like everybody in Enugu left their houses for that concert,’ an eyewitness said.

Olamide, P-Square, Patoranking, Onyeka Onwenu and Harrysong were among the Nigerian music stars that also performed at the concert.
The other set of performers at the show include Lil Kesh, who got the crowd grooving during his session, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Zoro, Kcee and CDQ.
Overcrowding is one of the reasons stewards had a lot to handle at the concert. Phyno however tried all he could to stop the uproar by taking charge as MC till the end of his show.

Husband, Wife And 2-Month Old Baby In Prison Custody Over Murder

A 38-year-old-man, Bernard Inya, and his wife, Chinyere (34), and their two-month-old baby have been remanded at the federal prisons in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State over the death of a lady in their community.
The accused who hailed from Ezi Nwachi Ndibe in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the state were arraigned by the police at the magistrate’s court on charges of murder punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 33 Volume 1 Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria 2009.

According to reports, the mother of the baby Chinyere had pleaded while on dock that she should be granted bail for the sake of her baby but her plea was not granted by the magistrate.
After listening to the plea of the accused, the trial magistrate, Nwachi Olughu, ordered that the accused persons be remanded in prison custody.
The magistrate also ordered that the court processes be forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

Wizkid “One Dance” Award Night

Wizkid was up for three awards courtesy of his feature on Drake’s hit song, ‘One Dance’.

Nigerian pop star, Wizkid missed out on a number of chances to get his first ever American Music Awards last night.
His collaboration with Drake on ‘One Dance’ won him three nominations including Favourite Pop/Rock Song, Favourite Soul/R&B Song, and Collaboration of the Year.
Meanwhile, Drake, who got 13 nominations, won four awards; Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artiste, Favourite Soul/R&B Song for ‘Work’ with Rihanna, Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Song for ‘Hotline Bling’ and Favourite Album — Rap/Hip-Hop for his fourth studio album, Views.
Adele and Desiigner were also the biggest losers at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles where the awards ceremony held.

‘Hello’ singer Adele had a total of four nominations including Favourite Pop/Rock Female Artiste, Favourite Pop/Rock song for ‘Hello’, Favourite Adult Contemporary Artiste and Favourite Pop/Rock Album for 25 but she missed out on all but one; going home with only the Favourite Adult Contemporary Artiste award.

Kanye West signee, Desiigner on his part couldn’t get his hand on a gong for his debut hit song ‘Panda’ that lost out in Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Song and Video of the Year categories.

Trap king, Future, who performed at the 2016 MAMAs in South Africa, didn’t make the winners list either, despite his two nominations.

Prostitute Breaks Man’s Head After He Asked If He Could Sleep With Her For A Boiled Egg (Photos)

A prostitute in Zimbabwe beat a punter around the head with a beer bottle after he offered to pay for sex with a boiled egg. Moses Mushonga, 28, walked up to the young lady of the night in the town of Mvurwi in Mashonaland province.

Firstly he manhandled her, leaning into her bra and touching her breast. This did not endear him to the 23-year-old, called Chipo, but to add insult to injury he then tried to haggle with his only asset.

Mushonga told her he had just spent his last bit of money on buying two boiled eggs, which costing 0.25 Zimbabwe dollars, the equivalent of less than a penny or a cent.

Sadly he had already eaten one too.

Insulted by his attitude Chipo flew into a rage, hiting hit him with the beer bottle, and then punched him in the face, before knocking him out.

When he came round Mushonga was bleeding heavily from his head.

He told local media: ‘She could have just said no.’

Chipo, who was not charged by police, said she simply felt he needed to be taught a lesson about respect.

Earlier this year the Weekend Post newspaper in the capital, Harare, reported that the economy was so bad that sex workers had reduced their prices to 0.8 Zimbabwe dollars – equivalent to half a loaf of bread.
But they clearly draw the line at a boiled egg.

Harrysong Spits Bitter Truth About His Split From Five Star Music

One of the simmering news to start this week is the departure of singer Harrysong from former label Five Music.

While that is still very hot and trending, there is more juice about Harrysong exit from Five Star Music. The “Reggae Blues” crooner had some “itchy truth” as to why he left his former record label after his contract expired. The Delta state born singer made some very uncomfortable revelations on Planet TV interview.

Harrysong first of all cleared the air that “ALTER PLATE” is not a record label but his music company. Now the real reason he quit Five Music is lack of appreciation.

Harrysong gave an inside on his services at Five Music. He said he did most of the song writing, vocal coaching, he was also the music director while at the label.

However,  he said his efforts was not appreciated. Harrysong is quoted to have said “Your helping someone who knows nothing and the person is feeling like he is helping you.”

The famous sisters of the Kardashian-Jenner clan dominated the Forbes list, with Kim clocking in with $51m.

You’re Keeping Up with the Kardashians but definitely not with their earnings. According to the Forbes’ 2016 list of highest-earning reality stars, these ladies are making mad money.

The famous sisters of the Kardashian-Jenner clan dominated the list, with Kim Kardashian clocking in at the top spot with a whooping $51m for the year, thanks to the profits that come from her mobile game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
Her youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, nabbed second place with $18m, thanks to her Kylie Cosmetics line, social media endorsements, and fashion collaborations.

Kendall Jenner came in third with $17m from her successful modeling career, and both sisters also earn from their Kendall & Kylie mobile game.

Khloé Kardashian secured fourth place with a new denim line and a book, bringing her earnings this year to $15m.

Meanwhile, momager and master strategist of the Kardashian Empire, Kris Jenner, took fifth place with $11.5m and eldest sister, Kourtney Kardashian, took sixth place at $10m.
All together, the Kardashian-Jenners made a combined $122.5m, which means it’ll be pretty hard for anyone to keep up with these reality television personalities.
